Playing on words.


I find that playful advertising appeals to me most. Often, a clever idea can be staring you in the face. A simple play on words can sometimes be the inspiration you need to create memorable ads that really catch the eye. 

This example for Volkswagen’s Beetle model is particularly effective in it’s use of bright colours to reflect the hippy era. Having been released in 1967, the VW Beetle is synonymous with the era anyway, but to use the iconic image of these Beetles crossing Abbey Road adds an element of playfulness too.
